TATTING

In Middle East it was called “Makouk” that it means spool; in Germany “Schiffschenarbeit” that it means shuttle; in France “Frivolité”, frivolity; in England ”Tatting” and in Italy ”Chiacchierino” that it means to speak rent rent and whispered.

Native of the Arabic countries, it had a great development in the XVIII° and in the XIX° century

In that years dames, and also some queen, spent their time creating laces with the help of thread and shuttle while chatted in their living rooms

It was almost forgotten at the end of Vittorian age to revive after the II° world war.
