AR3000A Multiband Worldwide Receiver

The software I present here, is a custom developed software, for AOR AR3000A receiver controlling, by mean of a IBM based PC, operating a high speed serial port: due to the friendly to use graphic user interfaces (looking quite similar to the original receiver front panel) and all originals included plus much more added functions, this software seems to me and other users very complete. Although it required many and many hours of free time, I wish to sold it at no charge at all, even if only in compiled version: infect, it has been primarly developed on Visual Basic ver. 4.0, and I don't like to distribute the original form, project and stash Vbfiles, in order to prevent unauthorized modified versions moving around the web.

The software package is all included in Radio.exe self extracting zip file: after unzipping it, you simply have to run the setup.exe file. 

I actually run this software on a PC with Windows 98 o.s., Amd Athlon 550 cpu, 130 Mbytes Ram memory and Riva TNT2 Graphic card: anyway it can run as well on a PC  based at least on original Pentium 133 Mhz., Windows 95/98 o.s., 32 MByte Ram memory, 800x600x64K graphic card and 20 Mbyte free hard disk. Note that the required free hard disk space mainly depends on how many records (frequency, modulation type, signal strenght etc. for a  tuned channel) you plan to store on it, being infect the record number limited only by the available hard disk free space. In order to avoid apparent malfunctions, note also that the software, as downloaded, is set for 9600 Baud communication speed on Com1 port, while on the contrary the default factory speed for the receiver is 4800 Baud: provided that the Com port can be easly changed via software in order to match the PC requirements (Com1-2-3-4 ports are available by mean of the "Comm" item on the upper command bar), you are required instead to update the receiver speed factory setting, by mean of the little switch, located on the rear of front control panel, as clearly described in the owner manual: all functions will be so enhanced, but particulary the channels scanning speed, while using a software control via PC.

Note: although the custom software has been carefully tested against viruses ( by a reliable antivirus software and a recently updated virus data base), no guarantee can be offered while traveling on the web.

Note: the custom software do not match with  previous AR3000 receiver model, due to serial communication protocol relevant differences: I am actually working on and as soon as possible I will present on web the custom software enhanced version.
