Castel Saint Elia is situated on a tuphus plain surrounded by two deep ravines, on the borders of the province of Viterbo at about 45 Km from Rome; it’s possible to reach it from the trunk road Cassia at the intersection of Nepi and from the trunk road Flaminia at the intersection for Civita Castellana. It has about 2000 in habitant with a height of 210 Mt above sea level. It’s name derives from the very old coenovium of Saint Elia.
