- Issues being addressed

Broadband communication requirements are growing rapidly in Europe for the market segments of  large organisations and of innovative SMEs. These are not served with fibre cables in many European Countries.

- Goals of the project

The objective of the overall REVENUES project is to provide Virtual Private Network (VPN) services across Europe using the EuroSkyWay Satellite Multimedia Network.

 

Characteristics

- Target user addressed

The target customers are European Enterprises with requirements suitable for satellite communications. Users of the proposed services are expected to be commercial and non-commercial organisations in sectors including Banking and finance, Transport, Government, Service, Utilities, Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing, Media, Natural Resources.

- Technical perspective

Data exchange and multimedia data in a secure way using the EuroSkyWay Satellite Multimedia Network. In this way, by using the 32 spot beams available over the Europe, each element of a Virtual Private Network will exchange data at a real high transmission rate. REVENUES provides the adequate solution for the Virtual Private Network of a Company located around the globe.

- Trans-European coverage

The REVENUES services will be offered all over Europe via EuroSkyWay.

- Expected benefits

The project will provide the target customers for VPN services at competitive prices and optimised quality.

 

Progress and results

- Expected results

At the end of the feasibility project, the defined REVENUES services and performances will be provided to selected users, based on a specified VPN services model.

The business plan for the service provision will be continuously tuned and the final report will be produced  as the result of the validation phase.
