Ms Susanne Ristow was born in 1971, in Luebeck, Germany.

She studied at the Hochschule fuer bildende Kuenste, Braunschweig, under Professor Roland Doerfler, from 1990 to ‘92.
An eight-month study period in Madrid, Spain (until April 1993), was followed by studies at the Staatliche Kunstakademie Duesseldorf, under Professor Jannis Kounellis.
She graduated in February 1997, and obtained the title “Meisterschuelerin of Jannis Kounellis”.

From October 1998 to October 1999 she lived and worked in Naples, Italy, with a special grant from the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service).

Ms Ristow lives and works in Duesseldorf, Naples and Berlin.
