QUESTIONS : Em Synfonia (ex- Broken Hope9) by Brian Griffin

1-Hello guy ! Your debut album its very fine, i think its a excellent form of equilibrium between tecnique and dark emotions .Please tell me something about EM SYMFONIA to present it to my readers .
Thank you! The Intimate Portrait album was written and recorded by the five members of EmSinfonia. Myself (male vocals , guitar, and bass), Larry DeMumbrum (drums), Sean Baxter (guitar and violin), Rick Alexander (keys), and Bunny (female vocals). It contains 12 songs (one of which is an Iron Maiden cover of Revelations) far exceding the level of our MCD "In Mourning's Symphony. We can't put a tag on our style but it is metal. We let the listener determine what kind of metal they want it to be.

2- Can you describe the several characteristics of the members of this ensamble ?
Musical preferences and other.....

I know it gets said quite often, but Em Sinfonia truly is a band that is completely diverse in all aspects. Everyone has their own individual interests. Which constantly creates new ideas while writing material. You can find most every type of music in the collection's of the members of Em Sinfonia. I believe many styles come through in "Intimate Portrait", just listen. We all draw from different influences musically. You can pretty much believe there is no style or genre that we don't listen to and appreciate for what it is.

3-Something about the lyrics , for me you have catch up an high level quality of poetry.
We spend alot of time to make sure our lyrics mean something different to each reader and don't have a "set or planned out" meaning. Many people have told me that different songs mean something to them that is way off base from what I even meant them to be. I feel it is important to make each writing personal for each listener and have planned themes or concepts. That has been played out in the past by other bands. We are not trying to be evil or depressing. It is just what comes from us at times. We don't consider ourselves doom or goth or death or black metal. We just write what comes to us and let other people attatch the labels to us.

4-How much does nature influence your artistic and personal life ?
Not too much but I do enjoy the fall and winter months more than the summer. I like it depressing and quiet.

5-What does the solitude represent for you ?
A state of moral reflection and refinement. It can also be a fine time to explore the many interesting levels of depression.

6-How do you look upon your future future development?
With excitement! We plan on playing live in support of "Intimate Portrait" and keep on writing! There are many more things we want to explore now that we are not limited by previous band members.

7- Do you want ask me something ?
What's your favorite beer?

8 - What's the process to create an EM SYMFONIA's song ?
there really is no set process. We all just get together and jam whatever comes to us at that moment. We don't bother to refine anything until we hit the studio because you can really mess up the feel of a song if you are too critical and have too much planning involved.

9 - Last lines for you , tell what you desire. Thanx again for your time and congratulations !
Thanks for the interview and we would like to thank all of your readers for expressing enough interest in Em Sinfonia to take the time to read what we have said. Cheers!
