FIORE DI FRASCHIERA


The Agricola Fraschiera farm is situated, in the northern Maremma area of Tuscany, and from its rolling hills you can see the sea, which is in fact, only a few kilometres away. Sun, rocks, and silence, a breeze from the sea and the soil of the Maremma, produce a distinctive unique aromatic flavour to this Extra Virgin Olive Oil "Fiore di Fraschiera". The main variety of olives are the classic Tuscan species: Frantoio, Leccino e Moraiolo. The olives are handpicked directly from the plants, and immediately afterwards are put into special ventilated containers where they remain for a maximum of 24 hours before being pressed with the utmost care using a treatment which is temperature controlled (cold press). The Oil produced is then bottled without being filtered to avoid the product deprived of any natural qualities and to remain within the strict regulation set by the self control system (H.A.C.C.P). Furthermore, the farm only uses organic fertilizers, which adhere to the C.E.E. 2078/92 law for the drastic reduction of chemicals for the plants protection. The highest care in cultivation techniques described above result in the highest quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil "Fiore di Fraschiera". The intense fruitiness, slightly pungent, with an aroma of artichoke, walnuts, and hazelnuts, which is typical of Tuscan Olive Oil, provide an harmonious and fragrant taste. The Extra Virgin Oil "Fiore di Fraschiera" is for the most part used in a Mediterranean cooking, renowned for it's light texture. Ideal cooked meats and vegetables and exceptional with salads an grilled fish.
