DREAM

In your dream you can fly, you can climb trees, you take part as if it were the real thing. In your nightmare you are afraid,  you perspire, you are breathless and then, after turning into a princess and meeting a dragon, you wake up and everything is peaceful. The dragons have disappeared and you are no longer a princess. You would like everything that you had dreamt to be real but when you think about it, if everybody knew how to fly and if everybody were a king the world of fantasy would vanish into thin air.

 LISTEN TO THE SILENCE

Listen to the silence. Do not speak. In the silence we discover the world and all the things that we have never known. Do not hurry. Do not run. It does not help us to understand. Do not disturb those who listen to the silence. Do not put obstacles in their path. Respect their desire for reflection, for understanding, their desire to find their way. Do not ask questions, do not judge, do not feel superior. Accept that the river must follow its course to the sea. Accept the changing of the seasons. Enjoy the spring and enjoy the winter. Each one has something to give us, has something to teach us: we only need to appreciate it. But we have to learn how to appreciate it, how to open our souls to the world and accept what it has to offer, with  serenity. Never forget that we have the right to live! Everyone of us has the right to live! Listen to the silence! In the quiet and in the uproar of life – we must listen to our inner selves. Wherever it leads us, whatever the outcome, it has a value.

THE PRINCE OF THE STARS

Two months had now passed and the Prince was about to leave the castle. The spell had already worn off and the Sacred Fire was no longer burning.  As night fell, he spurred his white horse towards the East where lived the Great Cat from him he would learn the secret rite of rekindling the flame.  After riding through the desert for some time he wanted to give his exhausted horse a rest so he stopped near a grove of palm trees. While he was preparing his bed for the night an aged hermit approached who greeted him with humility and respect saying: “Welcome, O solitary Prince of the Stars, my simple dwelling is yours:  I beg you to accept my food and drink and to listen with me to the voice of the stars”. The Prince gladly accepted and after he had refreshed himself, he was so tired in body and soul that he fell into a deep sleep. He woke up shortly before dawn and went to look for the hermit to thank him and bid him farewell, but there was no trace of him.  Disconsolate, he sat down on a tree trunk and without realising found himself gazing up at the sky, where thousands of stars were shining brightly. In that moment, his spirit came back to life and his heart began to beat strongly.  Once again the Sacred Fire was burning in his soul.

He had met the Great Cat.

DESIRE

In the world there exists all the things that we desire. Those which we long for the most are those which are the most difficult to grasp but our happiness is measured through their existence. It is just as true that we often cannot recognise those feats which are impossible and our determination to pursue them at all costs creates in us a sense of rage and pointless feelings of frustration. However, it is through desire that man puts himself to the test by trying to reach those goals which he considers essential to his very being; it is the source of all worthwhile commitment, of knowledge. It is the driving force of the emotions…….of rational thought…… of life itself.
