Tragedy in Borneo
|
| Violence on the Indonesian island of Borneo has come to a head this year, with massacres in February of Madurese minorities by the Dayak (indigenous) majority. The Madurese people are present on the island because of programs initiated by the Indonesian goverment to balance populations and mix ethnic groups. Sources indicate approximately 100,000 people were resettled by the Indonesian government to Borneo. Please note that these images are graphic and contain children among the victims. |
