Alberto Campisano has been appointed Secretary of the RTC WG

Activities for the next year:

9 ICUD, Portland, Or.
Sponsorship of at least 2 conference sessions. Each session will have 4 speakers. The WG should review of papers related to RTC.

  2. Why is RTC not more widely applied ? (Olivier Browne, SSD)

- Prepare a workshop to be held on the Sunday before the beginning of the conference. This workshop would be charged to participants. Prepare concept by August 31.

State-of-the-art in RTC
- A ICA group is preparing a state-of-the-art in RTC (mainly for WWTP). We should look at the draft copy available on the web (www.smac.dk). We should evaluate if we want to collaborate to this effort.

- Update the old IWA RTC State-of-the-art report. Mathieu will evaluate what should be reviewed and will report to all.

- Manfred should write an abstract for a position paper that have to be sent to the 9 ICUD conference organisers by July 31

Junior Scientist Workshop
- Alberto will try to find a date and a place to organise and hold a Junior Scientist Workshop to be held in Sicily, Italy

Web site for the Group
- Alberto will be the web manager for the group. All material that we want to put on the web site is to be sent to him, after prior acceptance by the Chairman. He will also put links to relevant web sites dedicated to RTC.

- Hubert will contact IWA to know what they offer in terms of web site services for the WG

- Wolfgang Schilling will review the list of references (800) that the German RTC WG has elaborated and will ask the group if the JC RTC WG can use this file and make it available to the public through our web site.

Web site for the Group
- Prepare a Powerpoint presentation for the promotion of RTC. Hubert will prepare a complete presentation that will show how we can overcome some of the more salient arguments against RTC. All members should send their contributions to this presentation. The idea is to use this to promote RTC worldwide

RTC potential evaluation  
- The German RTC WG is preparing a CDROM on criterias to evaluate the potential RTC. It was decided that the JC RTC WG will not interfere in the initial phase of this product, but will analyse it next year, after it has been developed for the German situation (in German). The JC RTC WG may want to develop it further for the worldwide arena.
