Organization of the RTC WG :
- Chairman : Hubert Colas
- RTC WG : limited to a maximum of 8 active
members. The membership will be mobile in order
to keep in only active members and facilitate
communications.
- RTC Community : people in the wide community
which want to stay informed of the RTC WG
activities or that can serve as resource persons.
Mission of the RTC Work Group
Observation : RTC is mature but it is not yet
widely used. Why ?
The first mission of the RTC WG will be to bridge the
gap between technology and its use in addressing the
following three basic questions :
- Why is the existing technology not frequently
used ?
- What are the obstacles to be overcome to bridge
this gap ?
- How to promote the appropriate and beneficial use
of RTC ?
The RTC WG wants to become THE reference organisation
for Real Time Control of Urban Drainage Systems.

Some actions to be potentially developed in the
future :
- RTC web site
- Chat/discussion group by e-mail or chat site
- Define some research subjects
- Develop a CD on RTC (courses, information,
experience)
- Write a book on RTC
- Develop workshops or courses on RTC
- Organise special sessions in existing conferences
- Publicise the RTC WG through the Joint Committee,
through urban drainage groups in different
countries, etc.
- Organise a network of experts and some support
for the peer review of projects.

October/November : Place and date to be defined
later.
