Clear outlines, modern shapes

The fourth SnowCastle in Kemi is once again a unique representation of the never ending possibilities of snow architecture. The SnowCastle designed by architect Eija Anttila from Oulu has tree stories, and reaches a height of 16 metres!

The Castle, togheter with the courtyard which is surrounded by four metre high walls, covers 1,460 square metres, while over half of the area is indoor space.

Just as during the previous season, a chapel, a restaurant for several hundred customers,, and an art gallery are to be found whitin the symmetrical and clear structures, added this year whit the five snow star SnowHotel. But most of all, the fourth SnowCastle is meant for children as an ideal place for winter fun and games.
