Convert your old HTML pages to XHTML Basic + External CSS

XHTML Basic compatible Made with Cascading Style Sheets

Experts forecast that by the end of 2002, 70% of Internet access will be through cellular phones, PDAs, in-board car systems, etc.

The browsers for these "new" communication devices will be considerably smaller than the current browsers installed in PCs (IE, Netscape, Opera, etc.) and will not "forgive" errors in HTML.

The W3C has defined the specifications for XHTML Basic, a subset of XHTML. By adhering to these specifications and by linking to CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), it should be possible to create pages for 100% of all devices accessing Internet.

The conversion process from HTML is time consuming and requires a detailed knowledge of XHTML and CSS.

Some of the steps to follow are;

At present there are thousands of millions of pages on the Web which do not follow these rules and may not load using the new browsers - not to mention the problems with voice browsers.

In addition, well known page editors/generators commonly in use are still producing invalid XHTML pages which may not load!
