Specialized training for the older learner.... ... by an older teacher!

We realize, that for computer users aged 50 or over, it can be difficult to keep up with the speed that young computer "whizz-kids" impart their information and it can also be embarassing to have to be taught by someone half your age!

It is for this reason that we are offering personalized computer and Internet training for the over 50s in Rome, Italy, by a trainer of over 50, who will teach you with patience, clarity and humour. We can provide one-to-one training in your own home on your own computer * (PC with Windows) or to groups of people (your family or friends) in the same location. *

What can you learn with Navcom? The following are some of the subjects we have selected;

• Introduction to computers (Special price) - € 30 (1½ hours).
  This lesson takes the complete beginner step-by-step and hands-on through the way a computer works and what all the bits and pieces are called. It aims to help people overcome any initial fear of the computer.
• A closer look at computer housekeeping - € 50 (2 hours).
  A walk-through guide to file management, saving and storing information and learning how to create and manage your folders. Suitable for beginners and also for those with years of computer experience but who still tend to lose files!
• An introduction to Word Processing - € 40 (1½ hours).
  Introduction to WP using Microsoft software. Learn how to create a document, insert images, format text, use the spelling checker, save your work and print it.
• Introduction to the Internet - € 40 (1½hours).
  Introduction to the Internet, browsers, search engines, etc.
• Introduction to email - € 40 (1½hours).
  Introduction to email and how to use it. How to set up a free web-based email account and how to use it. How to compose, send and receive emails. How to send and receive attachments.
• How to create your own web pages - € 50 (2 hours).
  Introduction to XHTML and Cascading Style Sheets. Manipulating images. How to set up your free web site. Introduction to FTP.
