Installatione nei Browser dei Bookmark

Netscape Browser ——————————————

For Netscape Navigator versions 3.x, follow these steps:

  1. Click on Bookmarks from the pull down menu.
  2. Select Go to Bookmarks from the pull down menu.
  3. From the Bookmarks popup window, select File | Import from the menu.
  4. For Medical Reference: traverse to the BOOKMARK file directory, select the file MEDICAL.HTM, and click on the Open button to import the file.
  5. For Computer Reference: traverse to the BOOKMARK file directory, select the file COMPUTER.HTM, and click on the Open button to import the file.
  6. Edit bookmarks to personalize your list.

For Netscape Communicator versions 4.x, follow these steps:

  1. Click on Bookmarks from the Communicator toolbar.
  2. Select Edit Bookmarks from the pull down menu. (Skip this step on the Macintosh).
  3. From the Bookmarks popup window, select File | Import from the menu.
  4. For Medical Reference: traverse to the BOOKMARK file directory, select the file MEDICAL.HTM, and click on the Open button to import the file.
  5. For Computer Reference: traverse to the BOOKMARK file directory, select the file COMPUTER.HTM, and click on the Open button to import the file.
  6. Edit bookmarks to personalize your list.


Internet Explorer Browser ———————————

For Windows 95 and Windows 3.1 users, follow these steps:

  1. Open Windows Explorer.
  2. Locate the Favorites Folder, usually located under the Windows Folder.
  3. For Medical Reference: traverse to the BOOKMARK file directory, select the folder Medical Reference, then drag the folder to the Favorites Folder (it should be C:\Windows\Favorites)
  4. For Computer Reference: traverse to the BOOKMARK file directory, select the folder Computer Reference, then drag the folder to the Favorites Folder (it should be C:\Windows\Favorites)
  5. Use Windows Explorer to edit the bookmarks to personalize your list.

For Windows NT users, follow these steps:

  1. Open Windows NT Explorer.
  2. Locate the Favorites Folder, usually located under the C:\WINNT\PROFILES\DEFAULT USER Folder.
  3. For Medical Reference: traverse to the BOOKMARK file directory, select the folder Medical Reference, then drag the folder to the Favorites Folder (it should be C:\WINNT\PROFILES\DEFAULT USER\FAVORITES)
  4. For Computer Reference: traverse to the BOOKMARK file directory, select the folder Computer Reference, then drag the folder to the Favorites Folder (it should be C:\WINNT\PROFILES\DEFAULT USER\FAVORITES)
  5. Use Windows Explorer to edit the bookmarks to personalize your list.


America Online Browser ————————————

There is no easy way to import a large listing of bookmarks into the favorites section of AOL. However, if you follow these steps you can open an HTML document online.

  1. Open AOL.
  2. Select File | Open.
  3. For Medical Reference: traverse to the BOOKMARK file directory and select the file MEDICAL.HTM. You can now use this page to help navigate the Internet.
  4. For Computer Reference: traverse to the BOOKMARK file directory and select the file COMPUTER.HTM. You can now use this page to help navigate the Internet.
  5. You may want to bookmark the file, but first be sure to copy this file into an AOL sub-directory. By doing this, you will no longer need the diskette.
