2A59CL1C.BIN for P55CE-C2 430FX	1] HenrikS say: "- Bios update itself was successful (using Award 5.33) - After resetting cmos, HD started working again - Had problems with PCI IRQ (only slot 4 could assign IRQs!) for network adapter (RTL8139 pci) or VGA (S3-Virge) - Bios has setting for on-board joystick - even if the hardware is NOT present! - Bios setting for "On-Chip IDE use #MIRQ" causes hdd to fail if enabled - IRQ-steering apparantly not working optimal (Win98se) - Display is still black at warm-boot (I use a monochrome display on an S3-Virge at the moment on that machine); pressing reset switch works ok - Downgrading bios to original version currently unsuccessful - flash programs do not work - either programs freeze or reject original bios version. Annoying! I would like to step back to the old BIOS to assess what BIOS is best. Bios chip is SST 29EE010. Award Flasher versions 533, 753 and 810 used without success. - HDD no udma - PIO4 is max in bios (as previous - FX chipset limitation? <ndr. Yes>) Testing is not completed. Status: Apparently no improvement from your "new" bios, but instead a few problems. <Note> - Bios downgrade using 29c010 worked. - HDD > 8GB are NOT recognised correct by bios or DOS in any of my 2 bios versions - My IBM 75GXP 30GB appear be accessable in Win98se (using old bios) - In old bios, all 4 pci has IRQ working (which is not the case in your bios) - Apparantly only flaws of my mainboard are HDD > 8GB and no video after warm boot"
