In Vietnam sono molto popolari, e fungono da taxi, talvolta
uno puo' trasporatre anche due o tre passeggeri,
a non piu' di 1 US$ per fare 15-20 minuti di strada.
They are very popular in Vietnam,
being used as Taxies, they myght be carrying up to two/three people, or
even goods, particularly in the
markets. Prices are very cheap, asking for 1 to 2 US$ for a 15-20 minutes
ride.
Nelle citta' i Cyclo sono molto diffusi, qui' sotto
siamo ad Hanoi, nei pressi di uno degli innumerevoli mercatini.
Cyclo are very common in the
cities, the following picture has been taken in Hanoi, in an area close
to
one of the many markets.
Altri mezzi di trasporto diffusissimo e' la bicicletta, ed ancora di piu' i motorini.... mai vista una moto sopra i 100cc:

Partendo dal dato di fatto che non essendoci industrializzazione
ed evincendo che la mascherina non puo'
esssere uno strumento anti-smog, ci siamo chiesti a cosa
potesse servire (assalto di banca, ecc.) e....
Mentre le donne italiane sono disposte ad ore di code
verso il mare, o a spendere danaro in centri estetici
per avere una invidiabile tintarella... in Vietnam nessuna
lo farebbe: avere la tintarella fa molto contadino, e
cosi' quasi tutte le donne, nonostante il calore eccezionale
si coprono con abiti coprenti, e con mascherina
per evitare di abbronzarsi il viso...
Assuming that due to the very low
industrialization there is no pollution, we were wondering what the masks
that most
women wore was for (apart from
robbering banks) and we asked... while western women are willing to stay
hours in
cars queue to get to the beach
for a bit of suntan, Vietnamese women do not.
Having suntan for them if not a
sign of beauty, but reminds them of the people working in the fields, so
most women
were dressing long clothes, with
long sleeves (and the hot wa terrible), together with their masks, just
to remain
pale.
