INTRODUCTION |

The interest in Candomblé
and in African traditions is not something recent: since the beginning of the century, researchers of different nationality had been fascinated by this complex world and had been trying to understand the philosophy, the structure and the real meaning of Candomblé.
The aim of A.DI.CA. - Association for the Diffusion of Candomblé - founded in 1996, is to develop Candomble in Italy as it was in the origins, through the organization of events and study meetings (public ceremonies, conferences, seminars of dancing and ritual food...).
Since Candomblé is often stereotyped, A.DI.CA. wants to give a true vision of this world.
