The Mail Box Full Problem

In order to partecipate to the Event solving all technical problem in advance, consider that during the event there will be a big mail volume which will grow very quickly so that your mailbox soon will be full.

Read very frequently your mail, at least once a day.
delete all useless messages, to empty your mailbox. You can do it just now before the start of the event.
if you read the mail on line on the provider web site, consider that you have to empty also the spam and the tray to avoid to reach your disk quota.
if you read the mail using a mail program on your pc (offline mail) delete all useless messages. The program becomes very slow when mail boxes are full.

Many people experiment troubles in the registering procedure to the Yahoo site. This is a short tutorial to assist you step by step in this operation. If also following these hints you are not able to solve the problem, you should better ask a PC-skilled friend to do it for you.

Groups

Register

Registering is an operation which doesn't share anything with being part of a group. It means to become part of the big yahoo community. Yahoo isn't me, so I have no control on this operation, while does Yahoo personnel only. Access http://www.yahoo.com and register. On the right hand side of the page and in the middle vertically you'll find: Check your mail status: Sign In Press on . You will arrive to another page.

Registering or Signing in ?

Sign in

If you have already a yahoo ID, write your ID and your password (PW) in the form and then press the Sign In button.

Register

If you haven't already a yahoo ID, DO NOT USE THE FORM!

Press instead the link at the bottom and on the right side and then you will be guided to another page where to perform the registration. The most common mistake for a not registered user is to introduce the new ID e PW in the form for already registered users and then press to register. It will not work, you will say "why?" and will try again and so on. In the new page, you must enter all information's signed with a *. Pay attention, capitalisation matters! if you introduce the password in a different case, you will not be able to enter the site. As a general rule, DON'T USE THE CAPS LOCK KEY!

Which Email ?

Given a Yahoo ID, you will be assigned a yahoo mail address. Don't mind about it, you could also not use it in the future. During registration you will be asked to introduce your Email in the box. Write the one you use to exchange mail with the groups which you are subscribed to.

Verify code

The last problem is that you have to enter into a box exactly and in a case sensitive manner the waving numbers and letters designed in the page. If you are wrong in this last operation you will have to start again. Finally Press the I agree button and all will be OK.

Groups

Once you are a registered Yahoo member, you can sign in with you ID and PW. You will be recognised. On the left side of the main page of www.yahoo.com you'll find a list of items.

Press the left mouse button on . As a miracle the groups which you belong to will be displayed. Depending on your group subscriptions, You will see maybe icivp, foam_pfo and vasculab. That's all!

General info about these groups

You will receive messages from the groups with an "message object" prefixed by [icivp]. [foam_pfo] or [vasculab]. You can use this feature to order automatically messages in you mail program. (i.e. 'rules from messages' in outlook express)

How to send messages to these groups

Send messages to the following addresses: icivp@yahoogroups.com foam_pfo@yahoogroups.com vasculab@yahoogroups.com

You can save these addresses in your mail program, to save time when sending mails.

Pay attention to the "Replay" function. When you replay to a private message, the message goes only to one person. When you replay to a List, your message goes to hundreds (in this case much more than 1000) people.
