Car is definitely the means of transport
mainly used by the people interviewed, wether they go to work
or not. An important choise concerns women (cfr. table). In fact,
they modify their habits in a significant way preferring to go
on foot when they don't go to work |

The most suffered problems are in the
order those of pollution, noise, shortage of parking areas and
"consumption" of space. The young seem to be less worried
about the environmental effects caused by traffic, while the
old suffer the lack of parking areas less and are more sensitive
to the problem of noise. |

People who go from 29 to 62 (above all
men) don't declare themselves ready to use the means of the public
system even if the price of fuel increased suddenly. Instead
the young and the old are undecided. |

People living in Paderno Dugnano declare
themselves unsatisfied about the quality of the system of public
transports, which they use only occasionally. This habit could
be modified if service were improved (see question number 17) |
