Due famosi Maestri Aquilonisti giapponesi, tra cui il Presidente della Japan Kite Association, rappresenteranno la millenaria tradizione orientale attraverso dei workshop per la costruzione e decorazione di modelli di Aquiloni che saranno realizzati con la carta di riso e le canne di bambù.

Masaaki  Modegi

He was born in 1939.
He is the second curator runs restaurant  "Taimeiken’"
Mr.Shingo Modegi, former master of restaurant ’"Taimeiken" has loved
kites since childhood and has always carried kites in his domestic and foreign travels.
He decided to exhibit his kite collection to let children know the history
and beauty of Japanese kites. And the second curator of the museum, Masaaki Modegi puts his heart into the kites as much as his predecessor did.
While he is doing his best as the president of ’"The Japan Kite Association" he devotes his energies to the domestic and international exchange of friendship through kite collecting and flying.
Now it is known to domestic and foreign people as one of the most unique kite museums In the world.

 

Yoshizo Sakuraba

He was born in 1940.
Tsugaru Kite painter.
He has been  making Tsugaru kite for 35 years.
His kites are known for the vitality and dynamnism.
His brush moves quickly and decisively, as he paints bold outlines in
black sumi ink,returning to fill areas with vibrant color.
Painted on handmade Japanese paper are figures from classical tales-from firce,
grimacing  warriors to heroes.
He has participated in the Kite Festival to make Tsugaru Kites and fly in
many countries.
He gained the most honorable award of Shingo Modegi cup in Japan.
Also at in various festivals he won prizes and appeared on the many TV
stages.
He contributed over 100 his Tsugaku Kites to domestic and foreign
countries.
