Considering the size of the Championship Venue, there are no special problems in having a very large number of archers shooting in the qualification event.

The Organizing Committee, in its official bid to FITA,  requested FITA to hold the first Junior World Indoor Championship with the senior event.
The FITA 1999 Congress approved this possibility, and the organizing committee is proud to be able to profit from this opportunity and feels that having the SENIORS and JUNIORS competing together will bring this Championship an increased attendance and greater media attention that will
certainly help the promotion of Archery at a World wide level.

Sunday, the 11th of March, the Organizing Committee will also held an indoor tournament in the same main venue as the championship. The competition, based on 60 arrows at 18 meters, will be valid for World Record recognition. It will be open to all archers from around the world.

Participation will be accepted based on registration date, up to the maximum of 600 archers divided in 3 different turns. This open competition will give normal archers the chance to compete on the same arena as the World Championship, and the official delegations the opportunity to try the arena before the official start of the Championship.
