Per non dimenticare Sabra e Chatila
Delegazioni dall’italia e dalla Palestina a Sabra e Chatila nel diciannovesimo anniversario del massacro
Una delegazione di donne e uomini di cultura italiani, menbri del parlamento europeo, organizzazioni non governative, forze politiche, si recherà tra il 14 e il 19 settembre a Beirut in occasione del diciannovesimo anniversario del massacro di Sabra e Chatila.
Obiettivo della missione: ricordare i tragici eventi del settembre 1982, chiedere che
venga data una degna sepoltura alle vittime del massacro e che venga resa loro giustizia incriminandone i resposnabili, a cominciare dall’attuale premier israeliano Ariel Sharon davanti ai tribunali internazionali e nazionali.
Ricordare la tragica situazione dei profughi palestinesi e la necessità che sia assicurato loro il diritto al ritorno e/o ad un adeguato risarcimento, chiedere alle autorità libanesi di revocare tutte quelle leggi discriminatorie nei confronti dei profughi nel campo del lavoro e della proprietà. Alle iniziative parteciperà anche una delegazione di arabi e palestinesi della diaspora e rappresentanti delle Organizzazioni non governative impegnate nella intifada nei territori occupati. Il viaggio della delegazione italiana e di quelle internazionali risponde all’appello lanciato dalle Ong palesti nesi in Libano, nei paesi arabi, e nei territori occupati ( Pngo, Ittijah Union of Arab Comunity Based Association, 140 Ong palestinesi, Arab Ngo Network for Development, Annd) per fare del diciassette settembre un “giorno della memoria|” per ricordare i martiri palestinesi.

At the march there will be no political flags but only the lebanese and the palestinian flags
