Our Purpose

WHO ARE WE?

We, Giampiero and Annalisa Cara, are both freelance writers from Rome, Italy, and we met in 1987 in the editorial offices of the competing magazines we worked for. After realizing we were soul twins (we also share the same sign, Pisces, and ascendant, Libra), we got married in 1993.

Together, given our common interest in spiritual matters (Giampiero also became Bachelor of Arts in 1990 with a thesis on George Ivanovic Gurdjieff and his "sacred dances"), we have worked for several esoteric magazines and publishing companies, also writing manuals on alternative medicine and traditional sciences like astrology and numerology. Our passionate interest for the English language led us to translate professionally into Italian, for some major publishing companies in our country, many essays and novels, including "spiritual" books by Kahil Gibran, G.I. Gurdjieff, John G. Bennett and P.D. Ouspensky.

In 1995, after reading You Can Heal Your Life by Louise L. Hay and Creative Visualization by Shakti Gawain, we became interested in New Age philosophy both at the personal and professional levels. Under the "trademark" Annalisa & Giampiero Cara, we have written hundreds of articles on the subject, both for specialized and popular magazines in Italy. Besides, we have been vegetarian for more than a decade because we love all kinds of animals, and we contribute articles and vegetarian recipes to specialized magazines.

Recently, though, we felt the need to create our magazine, Bliss - New Age and Beyond (see "Our Purpose"), knowing we could count also on to the contribution of our friends and "fellow travelers". And yours, too, if you're reading these pages and feel like joining us in this adventure!
