Vespolina

The Colline Novaresi are the gentle rolling hills north of Novara in Alto Piemonte that have had a noble history of fine wine making for centuries. Vespolina is a native grape known for its bright ruby-red color with violet reflections. Selected from our finest vineyards, then aged four months in a oak barrels and another six in the bottle, our Vespolina has floreal perfume, fruit reminiscent of red berries and characteristic spicy note. The tannins are persistent and there is an excellent balance of acid. Serve at 65°F, and uncork the bottle a half hour before serving.

Grapes: Vespolina 100 %

Harvest: the end of September

Vinification: stemming and soft pressing of the grapes, maceration for about six days and controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks at 27 ° C

Refinement: six months in steel, in the bottle for at least six months

Tasting notes: intense ruby ​​red color with purple hues in his youth; perfume with notes of rose pedals, red fruits, raspberry, cinnamon, black pepper. In the mouth is fine, full-bodied, well-balanced, tannic
