The Lunigiana is an area most tourists haven’t ever
heard of, tucked away between Tuscany and Liguria with all the natural beauty of both,
between the Apuan Alps, the Gulf of Poets and the coast of Versilia with its famous
resorts of Forte dei Marmi e Viareggio. The Cinque Terre with its romantic fishing
villages is also only a short drive away. So unspoilt that even the autostrada keeps a
discreet distance from the many ancient castles, hamlets, Longobard fortresses and
Byzantine landmarks that history has left in its wake, the Lunigiana is still very near
important Tuscan cities like Lucca and Pisa, the perfect place to get away from it all and
still stay in touch with everything.
This house is set in the typical hilly, vine-striped landscape of this region with an
enchanting view over the surrounding countryside blessed with sunshine from morning until
sundown.
There are two houses, facing each other, one for guests, and one for your hosts, a couple
from Milan with a flourishing P.R. business who have settled in the Lunigiana.
Rooms: an attic with independent entrance, with a double room, bathroom, small
sitting room with a third bed and large terrace. Opposite, in the guest house, on the
ground floor there is a double room with bath, a sitting room with fireplace and a fully
equipped kitchen. On the floor above two double rooms with bath and a terrace. Minimum
stay 3 nights.
Options: English is spoken. Parking on the grounds. Children under the age of two
are free of charge.
Where: the nearest railway station is 5 km. away in Aulla, while Pisa airport is at
80 km.
