Submerged Archaeological Site of Baia (Pozzuoli)

Diving at the submerged ancient city of Baia.
This site has been submerged by a form of volcanic activity called bradyseism, which has lowered by some meters the place where the Emperor Claudius built the city. Here you'll dive through the ruins of roman villas, with handsome mosaics and colummns, like in a miniature Atlantis. If you like the bubbling mud you can also find in some points submerged sources of hot water (60 °C).

Clicking here you can do a virtual visit of the submerged Baia and enjoy a very nice aerial vision of it.
