Diving in Sardinia
Sardinia is placed in the center of the Mediterranean Sea, between the cold Atlantic Ocean and the relatively warm Red Sea. This is the reason for which its Sea represents a synthesis of different biological characteristics. You'll find here many forms of life coming from the Atlantic Ocean but also some ones having tropical origin. The salinity of water is about 37% and its (surface) temperature varies from 12 °C in winter to 24 °C in summer. Many years ago the reefs of Sardinia were rich of the precious red coral, which now can still be found but at depths greater than 100 mt.
