Scuba-sites in Italy

Amalfi Coast and Sorrento Peninsula

Many people choose the Amalfi Coast as the place to come and relax. A warm calm sea, delicious sea-food, and fruits temper this harsh southern shore which divides the Bay of Naples from the Gulf of Salerno.
The coast is accessible by buses leaving Sorrento and Salerno every two hours.
Amalfi was the first Sea Republic of Italy. It was also home of Flavio Gioia, inventor of the compass.
Ravello is an ideal spot for the afternoon stroll, a good read, or quiet contemplation. Wagner made it the setting of the second act of Parsifal. A diver will find here a lot of interesting dive sites: particularly intersting are the caves.
