Pianista

Dopo il Diploma, conseguito con il massimo dei voti, ha perfezionato i suoi studi presso l'Accademia Nazionale di S.Cecilia in Roma sotto la guida di Lya De Barberiis. Vincitore di Primi Premi in Concorsi Pianistici nazionali (Albenga, Bardolino, Osimo) dal 1980 ha intrapreso una intensa attività concertistica che lo ha visto collaborare al fianco di Direttori quali Andreew, Balan, Dubrovskj, Peloso, Müller, Zachariev, Chichon con le maggiori Istituzioni Sinfoniche Europee. Nel 1996 è stato nominato Solista Ufficiale della Filarmonica di Stato di Valcea (Romania). Ha tenuto Recitals, oltre che in Italia, in Germania, Olanda, Russia, Spagna, Gibilterra, Bielorussia, Romania, Moldavia, Bulgaria.
Ha inciso l'integrale dei Concerti per Pianoforte ed Orchestra di Shostakovich e brani cameristici del compositore alessandrino Mario Panatero (Coproduzione RAI-Teatro Comunale di Alessandria).
Si dedica intensamente all'attività cameristica; in particolare è componente dell' Insieme Pianistico Italiano (due pianoforti ad otto mani) e del Trio Glinka (clarinetto, violoncello e pianoforte).
Appassionato didatta, tiene regolarmente corsi di perfezionamento estivi, seminari di studio sulla musica pianistica italiana, conferenze sulla tecnica pianistica.
Direttore Artistico del Concorso Nazionale 'F.Schubert' e dell'Associazione 'A.Casella', è Presidente del Concorso Nazionale 'Città di Racconigi'.
Viene spesso invitato a far parte delle giurie dei più noti concorsi pianistici italiani ed è titolare della cattedra di pianoforte presso il Conservatorio Statale di Musica 'Ghedini' di Cuneo.

Maurizio Barboro's rise to stardom began at the age of 15, when he won first prize in several National Competitions in his native Italy. He begun his studies at the Conservatoire 'N. Paganini' in Genova and obtained his diploma with the highest result ever achieved in the history of this music school. He then completed his studies at the 'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia' in Rome, under the guidance of his mentor, Lya de Barberiis.
Since then Maestro Barboro combines an intense career as a concert pianist in ltaly as well as all the major cultural centres in Europe, collaborating with conductors such as Dubrovsky, Andreev, Balan, Müller, Chichon, and Zachariev.
He has undertaken several recordings of works by Italian composers for reputed National TV and radio networks in both Western and Eastern Europe. In 1991 he undertook a CD recording project of the complete works for pianoforte and orchestra by Russian composer Shostakovich with the Philharmonic Qrchestra of Minsk. Other notable recordings include an LP dedicated to music by Italian contemporary composers such as Panatero and Gazzelloni, which was produced by RAI at the Teatro Comunale of Alessandria.
Maestro Barboro is currently the official soloist of the Philharmonic institution of Ramnicu Valcea and Ploesti (Romania). He also performs in various distinguished chamber music formations, notably the ensemble 'Insieme Pianistico Italiano' which consists of two pianoforti, eight hands.
Reputed for his interpretative insight and impeccable technique, Maestro Barboro is much in demand as a professor and has the distinction of currently holding the International Chair of pianoforte at the Conservatoire 'G.Verdi' in Torino, Italy. He also holds master classes at the main conservatoires in Italy as well as abroad.
Maurizio Barboro is currently Artistic Director of the prestigious International Competition far Chamber Music 'Franz Schubert' and of the Music Association 'A. Casella' both held in ItaIy.

Mit besonderer Auszeichnung führte Maurizio Barboro die Musikakademie Santa Cecilia in Rom zu Ende. Seither entfaltet er eine vielfältige künstlerische Tätigkeit, die aus Konzertreisen nach Italien, Deutschland, Holland, Spanien, Rußland, Rumänien und Bulgarien besteht.
Die Einspielung aller Klavierkonzerte von Dimitri Schostakowitsch ist bemerkenswert und fand große Beachtung.
M.Barboro hält regelmäßig Meisterkurse ab und wird als Juror bei Internationalen Musikwettbewerben sehr geschätzt.
