Fabbriche di Careggine: il paese sommerso

Prima che venisse costruito l'invaso del lago di Vagli, Fabbriche di Careggine era un ameno villaggio sulle rive dell'Edron sin dal XIII secolo.
Oggi il fantasma di Fabbriche riappare quando l'invaso viene svuotato per i lavori di manutenzione. Ed è una visione apocalittica, assai suggestiva.

The village of Fabbriche was submerged when the basin was formed and when the water level is low it reappears with the relics of the church and of the few houses clustered around it, arising a poignant feeling in the visitors who, once again, comes in contact with the hard daily fight for life in these places.
