Hi, my name is Christian and I was born in 1970 in Belluno (Italy).

I began going into the mountains when I was young with my father and then with my friend Soro Dorotei who is also a Mountain Guide and a great climber. The desire to became a Mountain Guide, for me the most beautiful job in the world, arose from that. I acheived this aim when I went to live in Aosta Valley. At the beginning I was in the army as a second lieutenant and then I worked in La Thuile as a pisteur-secouriste and as the director of the slopes.

Now I am a full-time Mountain Guide and rock climbing is my favorite discipline but in winter I love ice climbing and telemarking. I became instructor of the Mountain Guides and I have also collaborated with Tua Ski as a tester of their products. I am a member of the civil defense rescue team in the Aosta Valley and am specifically, in winter handler of an avalanche rescue dog and for this reason I usually spend all my free-time with my dog Lucky.

Along with a group of other telemark lovers I wrote the book "Free ride – Fuori di traccia" about off-piste skiing in the areas of Courmayeur, La Thuile and La Rosière, published by Edizioni Mercurio.

During year 2002 I did some nice things: in winter I climbed the North Face of Matterhorn, in spring I summitted the Mckinley and the following autumn I returned to US to climb with two other mountain guides the Nose Route to El Capitain.

During spring 2005 I participated to the expedition Everest Vitesse 2005 and with a group of other Mountain Guides I helped the Italian speed climber Bruno Brunod, to attempt the record of ascent and descent of Mount Everest with no O2. I did not summitted since Bruno stopped his attempt just at Camp 3 (8.100 m) where I was to assist him. The expedition has been a good experience for me to do again.
