1ers Trophées Européens De La Musique De Film - 14 novembre2008 à la Cité de la Musique, Paris.
Pour cette première edition , un jury de compositeurs membres de la Fédération européenne des compositeurs de musiques pour l’image a choisi un lauréat dans une liste proposée par chacune des associations membres ou partenaires de la fédération pour chaque catégorie.
Les lauréats 2008 ont été :

Ennio MORRICONE (Italie) Dont la carrière et l’oeuvre exceptionnelle mondialement reconnue a élevé la musique de film au rang d’Art à part entière Trophée remis par Bernard GRIMALDI & Séverine ABHERVE le 11 novembre 2008 à Rome au nom de l’Ucmf et du Comité du Centenaire à l’occasion de la célébration de son 80 ème anniversaire

TROPHEE DU JEUNE TALENT COMPOSITEUR EUROPEEN 2008
Antoni (Antek) LAZARKIEWICZ (Pologne) Francis LAI, a remis le Trophée du Jeune Talent Compositeur Européen à Antoni LAZARKIEWICZ pour son travail puissant et original sur le film allemand "Winterrelse ".
TROPHEE DU PRODUCTEUR EUROPEEN 2008
Robert BONER - Saga Production (Suisse) Pour le rôle majeur qu’a toujours joué la musique dans ses productions. Un coup de chapeau particulier lui a été rendu pour le film d’animation " Max & co " réalisé par Samuel Guillaume sur une musique originale de Bruno COULAIS. Stéphane KIRSCHER, Président de l’UFMC (Union des Compositeurs de musique de film de Suisse) a reçu le Trophée en nom et place de Robert Boner
TROPHEE DE LA COLLABORATION ARTISTIQUE REALISATEUR / COMPOSITEUR 2008
Patrick DOYLE, compositeur (Royaume Uni) et Régis WARGNIER, réalisateur (France) Cette récompense a été remise Vincent PERROT, présentateur de la soirée, à Patrick DOYLE et Régis WARNIER, heureux de fêter ensemble sur scène une collaboration portant sur cinq long-métrages.
TROPHEE EUROPEEN POUR LA PROMOTION DE LA MUSIQUE DE FILM 2008
Conférence Internationale de la Musique de Film de Ubeda (Espagne), Trophée récompensant toute personne morale ou physique qui par son travail exemplaire, original, unique, culturel, éducatif ou professionnel participe à la promotion de la musique de film et à sa reconnaissance en tant qu’art en Europe et dans le monde. Luis IVARS et Ainhoa RAMIREZ de MUSIMAGEN ont remis cette récompense à David DONCEL (Directeur du Festival), Inmaculada GARCIA (Productrice du Festival ) et Sergio GORJON (en charge des relations internationales ) qui ont invité à Ubeda , Sud de l’Espagne les plus prestigieux compositeurs de musiques de films intenationaux pour qu’ils dirigent euxmêmes les orchestres jouant leurs partitions lors de concerts publics.

1st European Film Music Days
1st European Film Music Awards on 14th of November 2008 at the Cité de la Musique, Paris
For this event, a European jury of composers from the FEDERATION OF FILM AND AUDIOVISUAL COMPOSERS OF EUROPE (FFACE) had the responsibility to make its choice among several valuable candidates, who had been pre-selected by European composers’ associations and partners. During a special evening ceremony, the jury announced the following winners:
1st SPECIAL CENTENNIAL FILM MUSIC AWARD 2008
Ennio MORRICONE (Italy) For his career and for the exceptional quality of his worldwide famous work which has contributed to the recognition of film music as an art of its own. Bernard Grimaldi, President of FFACE and Séverine ABHERVE, former Delegate General of UCMF presented him the Award on the 11th November 2008 during the celebrations around his 80th anniversary in Rome.
EUROPEAN COMPOSER AWARD 2008
A special tribute to John POWELL (United Kingdom)
For his extremely diverse and wide-ranging work which covers all aspects of the relation between pictures and music. British composers agent Maggie RODFORD from Air Edel Associates London, received the Award in his name.
YOUNG EUROPEAN TALENT AWARD 2008
Antoni (Antek) LAZARKIEWICZ (Poland) For his powerful and original work on the German movie "Winterrelse". Francis LAI, the famous French Film Music Composer, presented Antoni LAZARKIEWICZ with the Award as a strong symbol to encourage the new generation of audiovisual composers.
EUROPEAN PRODUCER AWARD 2008
Robert BONER - Saga Production (Switzerland) For the important place that music plays in his whole audiovisual production. A special tribute was made to his recent production of the animation film "Max & Co" with the original score from Bruno COULAIS. Stéphane KIRSCHER, head of UFMC received the Award in Robert BONER’s name.

ARTISTICAL AND MUSICAL COLLABORATION AWARD 2008
Patrick DOYLE, composer (United Kingdom)) and Régis WARGNIER, director (France) This Award for an exemplary and durable artistic collaboration between a composer and a director was given by Vincent PERROT, the master of the Ceremony, to Patrick DOYLE and Régis WARGNIER, who were happy to meet at this occasion on stage and to celebrate their successful collaboration of 5 movies.
AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION TO PROMOTION OF FILM MUSIC 2008
Ubeda International Film Music Conference (Spain) This Award celebrates an outstanding, original, unique, cultural, educational or professional work of an organisation or a personality which contributes to the promotion of film music and to its recognition as an art throughout Europe and worldwide.
