Il Centro Italiano Studî Arte-Terapia afferisce al
campo nuovo in Italia, ma largamente consolidato all'estero, specie in America e
proposte di collaborazione e sinergie, specie via Internet. cisat@istitalianodicultura.org; cisatitalia@libero.it; icitalia@tiscalinet.it

The ING/AT, established in
1989, is a membership organization representing student and professional
art therapists in 77 countries whose mission is to increase
international networking and information exchange with particular
interest in reducing the isolation of colleagues attempting to advance
the profession of art therapy single-handedly. The ING serves as a
communications hub and publishes a semi-annual newsletter for members.
No dues notices are sent; dues expiration dates appear behind the
names on newsletter mailing labels.
Countries with designated
English-speaking "correspondents," are able to

incoming and outgoing
communications and submit reports on the state of the profession,
problems encountered and solutions found; pose questions in search of
solutions on organizing a national professional association, promoting
the profession, developing job markets, planning formal or informal
education and training programs, sponsoring a conference or seminar;
seek contact with experienced art therapists or neighboring nations
with whom they can share experiences or collaborate to expand their
knowledge base. English is the official language of ING/AT.
The newsletter is the primary medium of exchange and features
reports on the status of art therapy and professional development in
various countries, book reports, an International Calendar of Events
& Conferences, minutes of ING meetings held anywhere in the world,
names and addresses of ING Correspondents and National Art Therapy As!
! sociations, formal education & training programs and informal

elettivamente a psicoterapeuti, psicologi, psichiatri, arteterapeuti, letterati,
sia come prezioso ausilio ad altri metodi e tecniche di indagine e di cura;
nonché i rapporti e le intersezioni – anch'essi assai antichi e consolidati –
fra arte e psicologia.
First International Interdisciplinary CISAT Congress of Psychology, Psychotherapy and Literature
«With the weapons of poetry».
Poetry, literature and art sponsored by the Presidency of the Cabinet sponsored by the Campania Regional Authority (University and Scientific Research Councillorship) sponsored by the Presidency of the District of Naples
Naples, June 17-20, 2004
The Congress, organized by CISAT (Italian Art-therapy Studies Center) in collaboration with the Italian Culture Institute in Naples (prominent Organization of the Campania Region, recognised by the Italian Ministry of Culture) and with the Free University Institute for Foreigners “Francesco De Sanctis” (LIUPS), is electively addressed to psychotherapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, art-therapists, scholars, writers and artists: in fact, starting from the quotation from a famous statement by Pasolini in its title, the Meeting intends to deal transversely, in accordance with an extremely wide but never general standard, with the issues – ancient and fascinating, and as much as ever in fieri – of creativity and of the role of art – in its various forms: from poetry to fiction, from painting to sculpture and photography – in psychotherapy, both as a real and independent therapeutic instrument, and as a precious aid for other methods and techniques of cure and research; and the Meeting also means to deal with the connections and relations between art and psychology. Therefore the Congress is also going to be an excellent opportunity to confront and exchange opinions and methodologies between experts of various subjects and artists, to see what the situation is, not only about “the state of things”, but also about the future prospects of the ‘avant-garde psychotherapies’, starting from art-therapy, of course, and from the therapeutic schools connected to this new kind of therapy. This international Congress will take place in the enchanting and glamourous setting of Naples and its famous Gulf, providing the conventionists with the opportunity to stay in a locality rich in extraordinary charm, beauty, culture and folklore, in the best period of the year, with an excellent quality standard; it will also be possible to go on excursions and guided tours at very reduced prices. If you want to submit abstracts to the Congress, please send an abstract of your proposal to convegnocisat@istitalianodicultura.org; or to CISAT (Centro Italiano Studi Arte-Terapia); via Bernardo Cavallino, 89; 80131 Napoli. Abstracts should be sent as soon as possible. The deadline for abstracts submission is May, 31 2004. All works (maximum 300 words) should preferably be sent in electronic format and they must also include the enrolment form and the curriculum of the participant (the subscription fee can also be paid afterwards).
