By
the urbanistic point of view, the city has three different complexes:
the medieval one, the nineteenth century one and finally the modern
one. The
most important monument in Salerno is The Cathedral, which dates
back to Roberto il Guiscardo (1076).

|
The
monument underwent a reconstruction halfway through the '700 an
restoration works in the first half of the '900. Remarkable are: the
Lion's Door, the Lobby, The Bell Tower and the Interiors, which
keeps works of great artistic and historical value.
Not
far from the Cathedral lies its museum, with its four thematic halls.
Not less important is The Provincial Museum, which keeps the
testimonies followed one after the other during the centuries.

Have
to be pointed out: The Medieval Aqueduct, Arechi's Castle, The Fort
"La Carnale", S. Andrea's Church, the Roteprandi's Door,
the Church of "Crocefisso", Pinto's Palace (the image in
the photo), the Church of S. Giorgio and that of S. Maria delle
Grazie.
