The Amalfi Coast is the southern coast of the Sorrentina peninsula, which separates The Gulf of Naples from the Gulf of Salerno. It is named after the town of Amalfi, the most lovely and famous, in Italy and all around the world. The Costiera spreads from the cape of Campanella to Vietri sul Mare, very close to Salerno.

Amalfi - It is about 10 Km from Salerno. If u see it from above, it seems to lie on the sea, and it is commanded by green hills with fragrant citrus orchards. In the picture on the left, the wonderful Cathedral.

Cetara - Ancient and typical fishing village, it stands at the outlet of a deep and suggestive valley, at about 6 km from Salerno, between Vietri and Maiori.

Maiori - Suggestive town of the Amalfi Coast, Maiori was formerly named Reginna after the torrent crossing the built-up area. It is encircled by pure woods of lemon trees, lemons that are judged to be the best in the Coast.

Minori - With its typical little beach and the ancient alleys, Minori is a fixed stage for anyone visiting the Coast. Moreover, Minori has an interesting Roman villa, with frescos like in the best houses in Pompei.

Ravello - It stands on a terrace overlooking the sea. it is famous for two wonderful villas: Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone.

Vietri sul Mare - the first town of the Coast. Abounding in lights and colours, it is famous for its ceramics. During the Middle Ages the Monks of Badia of the Holy Trinity in Cava used the town as a seaport.
