In the best place to get close to Nature and Culture in Italy, at Fiastra Abbey Nature Reserve wood’ s edge, in a beauty spot at 300 metres above sea level, a newly-refurbished cottage, surrounded by trees and silence...

At Chiaravalle di Fiastra Abbey, 1.5 km far from the cottage, two bars, a typical restaurant, a self-service restaurant, a pizzeria, an open-air bar and the food store selling the products of the local farmers.

In Urbisaglia, the small town which is 5 km far, you will find many other shops, a market, the bank and the chemist’ s... and an excellent restaurant (Locanda Le Logge).

Macerata, the Province capital, is only 12 km far. The cottage is less than an hour drive from the airport, half an hour from the beaches and the Apennine mountains.

A lovely holiday with excellent accommodation. All local restaurant are superb, if a little difficult to final at times. A lovely time. (Carol, Roland and Sarah Draper; Jul 31 2004)

I had a great time when staying at the villa. I would recommend a visit to Ancona, and to the beach. The locals were very accommodating and helpful considering the language barrier. (Dan Nixon; Aug 6 2004)

We have all had a great holiday. She area is steeped in history. Coming from Scotland the weather has been super. The house we thought was wonderful and would liked to have stayed longer. Best wishes from Adrian, Lesley, Holly & Eliot Jones; Stanley & Jean Cook (Aug 21 2004)

Wonderful hospitality and amenities, but bad smell from septic tanks (signature illegible - Aug 27 2004. Note of the owners: Intervention at once with biological enzymes)

What an amazing, relaxed holiday. Great place!! We look forward to coming back! (The Dalling & Co; Aug 27 2004). See family photo album

We’ve had a lovely stay here. The house is very cosy and has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The surroundings are beautiful and occasionally testing (cycling – bike). The restaurants are good. We particularly liked “Le Logge” in Urbisaglia – superb food – and for fun the “Locanda” in Petriolo, run by a pair of brothers who are evidently frustrated comedians. Molte grazie per una vacanza indimenticabile. (Anne Joyce & David Miller; Aug 28 - Sept 11 2004)

David and I would just like to say thank you for the very warm welcome at the cottage, and a most enjoyable stay. The cottage is extremely comfortable, and the grounds and location very relaxing. We really enjoyed ourselves, and were very reluctant to leave.
Kind regards and heartfelt thanks,
Anne Joyce

Fantastic week. Weather surprisingly hot. All the hill towns are incredibly picturesque but the highlights were the food. “Osteria dei Fiori” in Macerata but especially “Locanda del Cavaliere” in Petriolo. Watch out for the Capuccino trick. (Andrea, Ben + James Ward; Sept 25 – Oct 2 2004)
