Crann a' Cheoil,
in modern Gaelic "The tree of Music", was set up in May 1998 on the initiative of Roberta Ippoliti and Fabio Scanzani, longstanding performers of traditional Celtic music.
Their repertoire ranges from the enthralling beat of dance tunes (reels, hornpipes, jigs and polkas) to the deeply involving emotional impact of the solo pieces, all coloured by a distinctively Mediterranean flavour.
This year the group has played at several venues, winning the applause and appreciation of public and press alike.
