Croce Azzurra is a 19-year-old association wich provides a first-aid service based upon first-aid intervention with an ambulance. Croce azzurra has more than 150 affiliated volunteers who are permanently beong educated and updating their first-aid skills through theoretical-practical courses and intensive training periods.
Its service are entirely free and his activity is co-ordinated
with the other voluntary services in the area through the operational center of the
"118" rescue phone number. Therefore, the Cagliari metropolitan area is
completely covered by these services 24 hours a day.
We have 4 ambulances available, three of wich are owned by Croce azzurra and one is freely provided by sardinian regional Administration through the Cagliari Province administration. |
More over, Croce azzurra operates intensively in the field of first-aid education, these services are directed to all the interested people, schools, and various associations. We also operate in the field of Civil protection, by partecipating in several training exercises.
Croce Azzurra has a directive council, democratically elected by
its associates, wich strictly cooperates with the public sectorial services.
