HISTORY
|
Been born to the dawns of the eighties to
want of Marcel Schmier (voice and Bass), Michael Sifringer (guitar) and
Thomas Senmann (battery), the Destruction immediately showed thanks to a
loaded sound of intolerance hardcore and violence thrashy, with few equal in
Europe, on the escort of a demo passed to the legend and of cult near the
tape-traders of the period: 'Bestial invasion of hell', that assure' to the
Teutonic three-piece a contract with the Steamhammer/SPV. From that moment in
then for the warmonger group gratifications arrived abundant, as the tour of
shoulder to the teachers Slayer and the share to the deadly World War III
Festival in that of Montreal together with the Possessed, Celtic Frost,
Voivod and Nasty Savage. Tappe burnt in hurry and possible surrenders by the
success gotten with the mini d' debut 'Sentence of death' (so in demand
overseas that the Metal Blade bought the rights of it, to distribute him/it
in U.S.A.), curiously and without shade of doubt the production of I detach
in the whole discografia of the D., that didn't succeed in encoring so much
vehemence and freshness anymore'
ideas. Even if the following ones 'Infernal Overkill' and 'Eterrnal
Devastation' they were always of the disks and however to the height of the
situation, with episodes of rare intensity (destructive, of course) and shed
hemoglobin anywhere, the principal chapter responds to the name of 'Sentence
of death'. Á. causes some sudden contortions of line-up that they always
mined the walk of the band, also the quality of the exits as it heard again
of it, because from 'Release of agony' in then the D. they were not more able
to repeat the past Fastis, despite the sales they affirmed the contrary one.
Despite turnče of prestige and performance of cry, to underline the presence
of the Destruction to the New Music Seminar in New York in the 88 together
with Testament, Hallow's eve and Agent Steel. At the end of 90 the D.
replaced Schmier with him ex-Poltergeist Andrč and published 'Cracked Brain',
they threw the sponge sadly withdrawing himself. Difficulty to know if today
formation exists anchors or no, even if more than an employee have reported
me that the Ds are alive and flourishing and they sell own records for
correspondence! (Drawn from 'Metal Hammer 4/98') While here following their history in pills

ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE(19/5/00): They were absent
only their of the bands German Thrash that has in the eighties somehow
changed facing the European metal, that was to be crushed in all the banks by
that American with unbelievable names from the Anthrax to the Metallic one,
from the Exodus to the Dark angel. In Europe they were not so many the bands
that played however at least to world levels this kind, but Destruction,
Kreator and Sodom were sufficiently devastating to almost oppose to the equal
one the American colossus. If the Kreators are surrendered, they doesn't want
to speak of it to continue with the use of distorted and fast guitars
confirming to all the effects that the Thrash has a lot still to say yet.
Today the Destruction can lean on then on a best production in comparison to,
while from the side musical nothing has been modified and the result even
though not excellent it is of notable invoice however. The voice of Schmier
is improved giving the impression that the sung one both more melodic and
less weapon but the years pass and something also has to change, the D have
to be such but not even to repeat the same things that have done in past. The
theme of the texts they are not changed and titles as 'Butcher strikes again'
and 'Total Desaster 2000' they confirm their intentions to transport the
baggage used in past in the new one it was. CelticWolf |
