They were born in the summer of the 96 graces
to Jorg M. Knittel, Gerrit P. Mutz, Mathias Straub and Oliver Grosshans.
Later it was inserted in the formation the bassist Jens Sonnenberg. First
Gerrit and Jorg played in the group of the Tragedy Divine, a band that
essentially proposed of the prog-power-metal; the split of the Tragedy Divine
arrived following different visions around the musical line to follow and
also for personal problems. Tragedy Divine published their only CD in 96 for
the T&T however, from the title 'Visions of power'. in comparison to the
precedent group, the Sacred Steel are more decidedly turned to play a Metal
inspired to the bandses American years '80. they absolutely are not there
modern elements in our sound!!! No Trends music of SHIT!!!! Nothing
Progressive!!!! Nothing compromises!!!! true Solo, uncontaminated, aggressive
Heavy Metal!!!!!!! Á. the end of 96 we recorded a ribbon that got good
judgments from the scene European underground. The promoter of the European
Metal Blade, Michael Trengert was present to our first concert and, listened
to our cassette it proposed us a contract. I want to underline that the
Sacred Steel are the first German band that signs for the Metal Blade (in 15
years of activity). The debut entitles him 'Reborn in steel' and it is
recorded in August of 96. In the following period we have played many
concerts with bands what Blietzkrieg, Scanner, Range ray, Virgin steele,
Flotsam & Jetsam etc. to the Bang your Head, in front of 15000 fanses. In
November we have realized the our according to disk 'Wargods of metal'
produced by the legendary Bill Metoyer, been born to the insignia of the
power, with many hymns metal as 'By steel we rule' or 'Heavy metal to the

there are enough people that will want to feel us. Aldilàs of the historical
names there have not been for years new band that plays true-Metal, and this
is the place that we want to occupy. Every song of ours is true-Metal, from
the first one to the last note and word. The SS are metal, for all those that
are broken some Trends, always new and always different, that every year they
propose us the magazines and the radios." |
