CURRICULUM

The "Ensemble Cameristico Nouvarmonia" (Ensemble), which debuted in Rome in 1995, is composed of musicians with different artistic backgrounds.

The inspirational motif of the Ensemble firstly resides in the strong interest for those musicians that, taking inspiration from artistic phenomena, that are clearly rooted in the popular traditions, were capable of creating a universal language. In particular the re-reading of the musical repertoire of authors such as Astor Piazzolla, Heitor Villa-Lobos, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Egberto Gismondi, José Bragato, Aldemaro Romero, Juan Plaza, which the Ensemble revisits through the original orchestrations, constitutes, given the background of the Ensemble’s components, the unifying element of the Ensemble itself.

In November 1996, the Ensemble toured Argentina invited by the Fundacion Astor Piazzolla, Buenos Aires, performing, in many theatres including the prestigious Teatro San Martin, and receiving unanimous consensus. The Ensemble has a history of many and meaningful collaborations with world famous artists such as Richard Galliano, Fernando Suarez Paz, Marcelo Nisinman, Hugo Aisemberg and also with the MDA Produzioni Danza run by Claudia Zaccari (Prima Ballerina at the Teatro dell’Opera in Rome).

In Italy the Ensemble performed for many musical associations and festivals.

Hereunder are listed some of the better known events the Ensemble performed at:

In the month of November 1999 the ensemble performed for the Italian Cultural Institutions of Budapest and Innsbruck and at the Catholic University "Peter Pazmàny" in Piliscs`ba, were it proposed an original repertoire entirely dedicated to the music for films composed by Ennio Morricone and Nino Rota.

The Ensemble has also recorded for the Vatican State Radio, for the Argentinean television and for the RAI (the Italian State television and radio). Always for the RAI it performed during the radio show "Radio 3 Suite" performing, among other pieces, a show entirely dedicated to the music from the Walt Disney films’ soundtracks.
