I now own and operate the premier websites of the Bulova Corporation, one of the most recognized watch and clock companies of the world. Bulova are today, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Fortune 500 Loews Corporation, and have always been an American company and a pioneer in the world of timekeeping. I thought that owning my own business would make me independent and set me free, but I find that I've never had more bosses in my life! Very hard work, but very exciting to have created something from nothing, in this great entrepreneurial country which I have made my home. I'm beginning to do other things as well, like helping to promote websites that I don't own, and even selling residential mortgages in Connecticut for 1st American Mortgage. I think 1st American really want me to help them with their own websites, but that's all trade secrets - my trade secrets! Citibank today, operate all the bank accounts for my ventures, and I find it funny to have to phone customer service, just to be taught how to make a funds transfer online. Well, I was in Cash Management Sales but it didn't mean I knew how to use the software. It did give me a good grounding though in how to run my own business! Who would ever have thought it though, at the time. |
