Pre-treating
of the cylinders before coating consists in rinsing them externally
with hot-water to remove dust residues and deposits after sandblasting.
The surface Is phosphatised to ensure adhesion of the coating, and
the cylinder is dried and heated to temperatures ranging from 70°
C to 200/220° C (depending on the type of paint). When the cylinder
exits the drying line, it is conveyed through o robot-served painting
booth where the noses of the cylinders ore painted.
it then moves through an infrared drying tunnel, where the paint
is dried, and is unloaded by the overhead transport line. Water-based,
powder and solvent-based coatings are carried out.
