PAPAINTING DEPARTMENT

Pre-treating of the cylinders before coating consists in rinsing them externally with hot-water to remove dust residues and deposits after sandblasting. The surface Is phosphatised to ensure adhesion of the coating, and the cylinder is dried and heated to temperatures ranging from 70° C to 200/220° C (depending on the type of paint). When the cylinder exits the drying line, it is conveyed through o robot-served painting booth where the noses of the cylinders ore painted.
it then moves through an infrared drying tunnel, where the paint is dried, and is unloaded by the overhead transport line. Water-based, powder and solvent-based coatings are carried out.

1) Close-ups of conveyor belt in painting deportment (Conveyor belt system serving the water, powder and solvent-based pointing station)
2) Noses and central sections of cylinders
3) Robot-operated pointing system
4) Close-ups of the automated powder-point system
