Important index pages on the site (like this one) now force a refresh once every browser session. To accomplish this, the pages use "cookies".
Just in case you happen to bit a bit paranoid - and rightly so: Don't worry, the cookie is the "non-persistent" type and gets eliminated as soon as you close your browser session. It doesn't gather information on you like cookies from big bad commercial sites often do. It only remembers if a certain page has been refreshed during the current session.

In the meantime, yours truly has had a few hardware problems. A hard drive meltdown, to be precise. Hence the lack of updates in the past few weeks. I was lucky enough to recover all data, but since the drive happened to be my system drive, I've been quite busy for some time getting everything organized again. Maybe I'll be writing a few pages about how I managed to get out of this mess without becoming suicidal...
