Population

Canada , introduces a very composed ethnic and racial structure . The greatest part of the population is of European origin , mainly british ( few less than half of the population is French ) . The majority of the Canadians of the French language lives in the Québec and represents around 78% of the population of the province ; minorities of the french language lives  in the provincies of  Ontario and  New Brunswick . During the years Seventy and Eighty there was occurred a notable increase of the population of the Asian origin , represented from around 16% which more these 2/3 lives in Ontario and in British Colombia .  Other  minorities are represented from German , Italian , Ukrainian , Dutch , Scandinavian , Polish , Hungarians and Greek . The country also entertains  groups of Indians of America . The greatest part of them belongs to the linguistic groups of the Algonchinis .The remainders belong to tribes Irochesi , Inuit ( Eskimo ) , Athabasca and Salishan . The black population is present in least per cent . The Yukon territory and the North - West territories are uninhabited while the city that is very populated , is Toronto , in Ontario which is  the  center port of manufacturing , Montreal , Vancouver , Ottawa , Winnipeg , Edmonton , Quèbec , Calgary and Halifax .
