Roberto Baggio was born in Caldogno near Vicenza
in 1967.
He became a professional player in 1981 in the
team of Vicenza, which pays 500 mila lire for
him.
His first game was Vicenza-Piacenza 0-1
(5-6-1983).
During the 1982 summer he knew Andreina Fabbri,
his future wife in 1989.
He has two children Valentina (1990) and Mattia
(1994).
He played his first
match in Italian National Team Under 16 on 15 of
february 1984 Italy-Yugoslavia 1-1
and the year after in Italian National
Team Juniores Italy-Greece 3-0.
On
3 of may 1985 he passed to Fiorentina.
On 29 of january 1986 he played the first
game in Italy Cup against Udinese (3-1).
On 17 of september 86 he played his first
game in UEFA Cup against Boavista (1-0).
On 21 of settembre 86 he played for the
first time in serie A against Sampdoria (2-0) and on 10 of may 87 he scored his first goal in A
against Napoli (1-1.)

His played his first
match in Italian National Team on 16 of
september 1988 (the coach was Vicini).
On 18 of may 1990 he passed to juventus for 16
miliardi lire.
He earned 2 miliardi and 100 millions lire every
year.
He won the Uefa Cup in 1993 scoring 6 goals. He
scored his 100 goal in serie A in Juventus-Genoa
(1993).
He won the Golden Ball on 24 of december in
1993.
He is a protagonist in
USA 94 and Italy reached the final match thanks
to his goals; but in the final match he missed
an important penalty.
He became Italy Champion with Juventus in 1995
and the year after passed to Milan where he won
another Championship. In the same year he played
his first match in Champions League against
Porto.
In 1997 he passed to Bologna scoring 22 goals in
30 matches (his personal record) and he cut his
famous “codino”.
He played the France 98 World Cup (the coach was
Cesare Maldini).
At the end of the
World Cup he passed to Inter, in which he played
for two years.
He passed to Brescia in 2000 reaching the
Intertoto Cup at the end of the first year.
