My name is Giovanna Hay. My education and training mainly developed on the field: for many years I have been collaborating with the R.A.I. (Italian Radio and Television) in the laying and fitting out of sceneries for cartoon films, both for children's programmes and experimental animation. For example, I realised many popular programmes for children, such as Caramella, La Banda dello Zecchino, for the D.S.E. (School and Education Department) and several spots introducing programmes, using various animation techniques, such as cut outs, plasticine, animated objects, etc. I still do many activities with children, thanks to periodical courses in the schools around my region (Umbria), where I organise and run creative workshops of cartoon films, in which I often try to use a variety of recycled material. After many years of such like experiences, I widened my work and entered the field of decoration, and I mainly enjoy interior decoration - I personalised private houses, public and industrial rooms - using various painting techniques that can be applied to any kind of material: walls, iron and metals, glass, fabrics, etc. In the following pages of this website you can see some examples of my activities.
