This is the Roman Name for the Greek divinity Dioniso. There are many stories about  Dioniso, but we’ll write just one. He is the son of Zeus (the divinity’s head) and Semele, a daughter of the king of Tebe. When her mother was killed by Era, the jealous of Zeus, he was raised by the Nymphs and Sileno, on the Nisa mountain. He’s the god of the wine, the vegetation, the madness and drunkenness.He wears a panther skin and a crown made of vine leaves. He stays together with the Bacchanti, the Satyrs and the Centaurs (they are others mythological characters). In one of his adventures he met Arianna, the daughter of the king of Creta.
