Object: Jupiter Date: October 22, 2000 - 00:09 UT Scope: Vixen VC200L - 8 inch f/9 catadioptric Cassegrain 9.5 mm Meade orthoscopic eyepiece projection to reach f/48 Camera: SBIG ST237 with color filter wheel Detail: 3 frames each of R, G, B - Each frame exposed for 0.45 sec. L frame obtained combining frames G and B into a single B&W frame L, R, G, B frames aligned and combined with PRISM 4.25 each frame multiplied by itself and processed with Gaussian Blur and HighPass filter. Further color processing and unsharp masking with Picture Windows Pro 2.50 Notes: This is my firts serious attempt at planetary photography with a Ccd camera. Focussing is still far from perfect. There is also a violet spot on the lower right end of the planet due to a dust speck on the green filter and to the lack of flat fielding
